Keemun is a Chinese tea that exhibits a wine-like and fruity taste. With a beautiful mahogany brew that produces a fragrance of sweet floral bouquets with an underlying lemony tone leaving you with a mild, bitterness.
Legend has it that a man named Yu Qianchen was the first to make Keemun. He changed the region that was originally used for growing green tea in order to grow black tea so that he can meet the demands in Europe. His success influenced many Darjeeling tea estates to copy his style.
